PopStop (Totally on a Nintendo DS)

Made as a group for Global Game Jam 2025 Singapore!

The theme is..."Bubble!"

Welcome aboard the bubble-popping factory… in space! After a galactic mishap, you and your boss are stranded with an endless supply of defective bubble wrap. Your mission? Pop every remaining bubble, one by one, in order to recycle them to keep things running.

But this isn’t your ordinary bubble-popping adventure. Inspired by the nostalgic charm of Nintendo DS games, PopStop combines retro split-screen pixel art with quirky challenges. Pop bubbles row by row, dodge Bubble Raft Beetles that have confused the wrap with actual bubbles - and try not to let it blur your vision when you mess up! As the conveyor speeds up and chaos builds, the question remains: how long can you keep up?

Controls

Each row of bubble wrap corresponds to a key on your keyboard:

Row 1: Press D

Row 2: Press F

Row 3: Press J

Row 4: Press K

Avoid Bubble Wraps with Bugs on it and double tap bubble wraps that have bubbles in it!
